After signing Salah and Van Dijk up to at least two more years with the Reds, Konate has become Liverpool’s most pressing contract concern.
The Frenchman’s current deal runs until 2026, with reports suggesting Konate is looking for a big pay rise to continue at Anfield.
However, sources have told RTK that Liverpool remain positive over the centre-back extending his contract and as things stand they expect that will be the case.

Despite Konate closing in on the final 12 months of his deal, Liverpool are understood to be confident of striking an agreement before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Reds are also working on extensions for Liverpool academy graduates Bradley and Jones.
Progress is expected over the coming months, with an internal belief at Anfield that all three players will extend their Liverpool careers.
Furthermore, the prospect of a new contract for Luis Diaz has not yet been ruled out.
Contracts have been a huge topic at Liverpool this term, more than any other season for a long, long time.
Salah, Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold have taken the focus, but third choice goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros is also out of contract at the end of the campaign and is set to depart.
Another young goalie – Harvey Davies – also looks likely to leave.
In 2026, Andy Robertson joins Konate and Caoimhin Kelleher in seeing his terms end, while 2027 will bring an end to a whole plethora of player’s agreements.
Jones and Bradley are two of those with two years left to run, with Diaz, Alisson Becker, Wataru Endo, Joe Gomez, Kostas Tsimikas, Harvey Elliott and indeed now Salah and – probably – Van Dijk also on that list.
