Exclusive with Graeme Bailey.

Liverpool will not allow Trey Nyoni to leave the club this January despite several clubs being keen to take him on-loan, Rousing The Kop can reveal.

Nyoni has been a breakout star of Arne Slot’s tenure as head coach and has made three appearances in the first-team this season.

And RTK understands that Nyoni’s promising showings have led to loan interest from a number of lower league teams.

However, Liverpool are understood to have ruled out a move for the 17-year-old and currently prefer to let him develop at Anfield.

Despite interest in Nyoni, the Reds are expected to stand firm before assessing his situation in the summer.

Nyoni has become a feature in the first-team squad at the Liverpool training ground this season.

And RTK understands that the Reds view the former Leicester City prospect as being a ‘special talent’ who could one day be a potential starter.

But while Nyoni is not expected to move this winter, several of his teammates from the Liverpool academy could leave.

The Reds are understood to be weighing up whether to let the likes of Jayden Danns and Tyler Morton out the door this month.

RTK have been informed that enquiries have been lodged for several Liverpool youngsters, with both Danns and Morton understood to be among that group.

Liverpool are set to take their time over a decision on each player, with discussions ongoing with Slot about the best way forward.

The Reds have loan enquiries for around half-a-dozen young players, but it’s understood that Liverpool will not let that many leave.

As well as potentially letting some youngster leave this winter, RTK understands that Liverpool are in a race to sign a big talent of their own, too.

The Reds have made an initial approach to find out Nurnberg’s plans for 19-year-old forward Stefanos Tzimas.

Liverpool are understood to be far from alone in their appreciation of Tzimas, though, and face competition from Premier League rivals as well as clubs across Europe.

Any move for Tzimas would be for a summer arrival and it’s understood that an enquiry is as far as Liverpool’s interest has gone so far.
