Liverpool are continuing to assess Vasco da Gama wonderkid Rayan ahead of a potential move, Rousing The Kop can exclusively reveal.
The Reds have been keeping tabs on Rayan for the past two years, with the 18-year-old having joined the senior team at Vasco aged just 16.
Having since played more than 40 times for the Brazilian club, Liverpool have been regularly scouting Rayan to check in on his progress.
More recently, the young forward impressed during the South American U-20 Championships with Brazil.
And Rayan’s performances in Venezuela are understood to have made a move to England more likely in 2025, with Liverpool one of the clubs showing genuine interest in Rayan.

Rayan scored two goals during Brazil’s successful U-20 Championship, finding the net against the much-heralded Argentina team.
And with most of Europe’s top clubs present to watch the tournament, which ended in February, it’s understood that a clamour to sign Rayan has begun.
However, RTK have been informed that Liverpool’s interest in the left-footed forward pre-dates the winter tournament by some two years.

But with interest from Liverpool and beyond now being described as ‘gathering momentum’, there is an expectation that Rayan could move this summer.
A deal for the youngster could be relatively inexpensive, although there is a possibility that the full cost could come in at close to £25m.
With the Brazilian domestic season having begun last weekend, Rayan played for the first time this season during Vasco’s 2-1 win over FBC Melgar in the Copa Sudamericana on Wednesday.
That brought his 47th senior appearance for, with five goals having been scored during that time.
Rayan has been more prolific at youth level, where he scored eight goals in 14 appearances for Brazil U17s and has so far hit three in nine for the U20s.
Tall and fast, Rayan can play on the wing – where he tends to feature on the right, cutting in on his favoured left foot – or through the middle of the attack.
