Liverpool have a strong scouting presence at the ongoing U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Rousing The Kop understands.
The Reds boast arguably the greatest African player of all-time in Mohamed Salah and are on the lookout for the future stars of the continent.
The tournament runs from March 30th until April 19th and is currently at the semi-final stage.
Keen to run the rule over the best talents, Liverpool are understood to have deployed Director of Global Talent Matthew Newberry as well as Academy Chief Scout Chris Wilkins to Morocco.
And RTK understands Burkina Faso midfielder Mohamed Sako is one of many to have caught the eye of the Liverpool scouts.

Having had such success with the likes of Salah and Sadio Mane, Liverpool have been seen as a top destination for African players in recent years.
And in 16-year-old Sako they could have their eye on another gem.
RTK have been told that Sako has earned comparisons with Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba for his performances during the tournament.

The youngster is part of a Burkina Faso side who have made it to Tuesday’s semi-finals, where they will meet Mali.

The Stallions have been powered by the goals of 15-year-old top scorer Asharaf Loukman Tapsoba who is also understood to have impressed Liverpool’s scouts.
Meanwhile, Monaco’s Moroccan winger Ilies Belmokhar has been likened to Liverpool legend Salah and has scored three goals as the hosts aim to win the tournament on home soil.
As well as Sako, Tapsoba and Belmokhar, there are numerous other talents impressing out in Morocco.
One of those is Egypt’s Hamza Abdelkerem, a 17-year-old centre-forward who has already made his senior first team debut for El Ahly.
Another to keep a close eye on is Ivory Coast’s Alynho Haidara who has managed six goals and sits behind only Tapsoba in the goal scoring charts.
Haidara and Ivory Coast face Morocco on Tuesday, while Burkina Faso take on Mali for a place in the final.
