Fabio Capello has praised the 'incredible' impact Arne Slot has had at Liverpool and likened the Dutchman's career to his own.
Slot has guided the Reds to the top of the Premier League, where they sit 12 points clear with nine games left to play.
That Liverpool are on the verge of the title in the first season after the departure of legendary manager Jurgen Klopp has impressed former England, Real Madrid and Roma manager Capello, who rose to prominence at AC Milan in the early nineties.
He would win four out of five Serie A titles and the UEFA Champions League after replacing one of the most iconic managers football had ever seen, Arrigo Sacchi.
And Capello, speaking to the Daily Mail, praised Slot's approach at Liverpool this season, paying him the ultimate compliment of comparing his impact to that of his own.

"To do this after Jurgen Klopp, who I liked, is incredible," he said.
"It’s a bit like my career.
The Reds will be looking to get back to winning ways after a difficult week saw them exit the Champions League to Paris Saint-Germain before a Carabao Cup final defeat to Newcastle United at Wembley.
The Reds need just 16 points from their final nine games to secure their 20th league title ahead of Arsenal.
