It’s fair to say that Liverpool, despite bossing teams on the pitch, are continuing to have concerns off it.
As reported by Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are confident they will be able to work out a new contract agreement with their French defender Ibrahima Konaté.
.
The 21-cap France international has made 18 appearances for the Reds this season across all competitions, having even made three goal contributions as Liverpool continue going strong on all fronts.
Konaté’s current Liverpool contract, fetching him £70,000 per week, is set to run until June 2026.
One of the key reasons Liverpool can boast a high-performing side despite not making too many splashes in the transfer market is their ability to plan ahead
Additionally, they already have contract concerns over Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mo Salah, and Virgil van Dijk, the last of whom is particularly pertinent in terms of Konaté’s future at Liverpool
