All signs are pointing towards Liverpool entering a significant reshuffle of their forward line this summer, with Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz increasingly likely to depart Anfield.
It is common knowledge that the club came close to selling Nunez to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr in January, and a summer departure now appears inevitable.
Six goals and six assists in 35 appearances this season, along with his profligacy in high-profile matches, has made the prospect of a fourth season with the Uruaguan difficult.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday morning that Diaz has chances of leaving to the Saudi Pro League himself this summer.
Diaz’s output has also dipped since the start of the year.
Prior to the recent international break, Diaz had scored just once in 18 appearances for Liverpool.
The potential exits come as the Reds look for attacking improvements, and amid links with Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitie, Romano has now linked the club back to a historical target in Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
The 20-year-old has since enhanced his reputation with seven goals and four assists in 20 Bundesliga appearances this term, having been linked to the club for some time now and as recently as the January transfer window.
Providing an update on the Borussia Dortmund man, Romano mentioned Liverpool as a club that’s been scouting the attacker with ‘calls’ already having taken place:
“He’s been on Chelsea list for months now, Liverpool have been scouting him too,” the Italian wrote for GIVEMESPORT.
“It’s going to be interesting to see Borussia Dortmund’s stance, but for sure JBG will be one to watch in the summer.”
“There’s already movement in terms of calls and inquiries.”
Bynoe-Gittens’ versatility—he can play across the front three—aligns with Slot’s preference for dynamic attackers?
His 4.3 dribbles per 90 minutes (top 5% in Europe) and ability to cut inside from the left would fill the void left by Diaz should the Colombian be moved on.

Non-Penalty Goals
As one can see from his underlying stats, Gittens is very much a direct winger who can dribble past opponents and has an eye for goals to go along with it.
Slot’s system demands clinical finishers and pacey wingers—a profile Bynoe-Gittens fits perfectly.
