Jayden Danns is set for a busy transfer deadline day with the Liverpool attacker set to depart Anfield on loan.
The England youth international has impressed with his limited first-team minutes for the Reds this season with Robbie Fowler lauding Danns after Liverpool’s 4-0 FA Cup win against Accrington Stanley last month.
With Danns making Liverpool history last week against PSV Eindhoven, it’s no real surprise that the 19-year-old striker is attracting interest from English teams, with Hull City and Sunderland both linked with the forward in the last 24 hours.
And it appears that there is a clear favourite team for Danns to join with the final day of the January transfer window now finally upon us.

Writing for the Athletic, James Pearce has said Sunderland are the team leading the charge for Danns, with the teenage forward expected to join the Black Cats having beaten out rival Championship sides for the Liverpool talent’s signature.
Pearce wrote: “Sunderland are leading the chase to sign young Liverpool striker Jayden Danns on loan today.
Danns became the youngest player in Liverpool’s history to start a Champions League game when he lined up against PSV last Wednesday.
“But with the attacking options currently available to Arne Slot, the decision has been taken to sanction a loan in order to give him the chance to play regular first-team football.”

With no first-team players expected to leave, the focus of transfer deadline day will be on Liverpool’s academy prospects, where a number of them could depart heading into the final hours of the winter market.
James McConnell is wanted by Blackburn Rovers despite Arne Slot saying the Liverpool midfielder will not be leaving Anfield this January, whereas Kaide Gordon is set to join Portsmouth on loan for the rest of the season.
Indeed, Liverpool have done well to identify which players need to leave Merseyside today, and Danns’ pending move to Sunderland could end up being the best of the bunch if the attacker takes to the Stadium of Light side like a duck to water.
