Liverpool fans often show up for big games to help their team over the line and Thursday night was no different.

Once the Reds took the lead in the tie, the Anfield crowd belted out a loud rendition of “Allez, Allez, Allez”, which Alexis Mac Allister and Federico Chiesa loved on the Liverpool bench.

Chiesa joined Liverpool last summer from Juventus but his time at Anfield has not gone the way the Italian star would have liked.

A recent report stated that Chiesa is ‘madly in love’ with playing for Liverpool as the winger is determined to make it work at the Premier League leaders.

The 27-year-old was in awe of Liverpool fans signing against Tottenham, which shows that this report is not far off.

There were rumours that Chiesa could leave Liverpool during the January transfer window, although that was never on the cards for the player.

The winger could be a great option for Arne Slot to use off of the bench throughout the rest of the season and the Italian will be ready to show his boss what he can do.

With Liverpool still fighting on all four fronts, the former Juventus star will be required to step up, and even more so if one of the Reds’ front three picks up an injury issue.

The signing of Chiesa could prove to be a good one yet but the Italian star just needs to stay away from injuries.
