Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa cannot wait to get amongst the action with the Reds when the September international break ends.

The Italian winger was signed by Liverpool on transfer deadline day last week from Juventus for a fee of around $14.5m (£11.0m/€13.0m).

Since his arrival on Merseyside, the former Juve star has been pictured around Liverpool's AXA Training Centre beaming from ear to ear, clearly delighted to have signed for the Reds.

And after having watched Arne Slot's side dismantle Manchester United prior to the September international break, Chiesa now cannot wait to taste some action for Liverpool when the Reds return.

Taking to X, Chiesa replied to a post from Liverpool's account of him running out of the AXA Training Center, writing: "Let's go Liverpool!" The 26-year-old was not named in Luciano Spalletti's 26-man Italy squad for their Nations League fixtures against France and Israel.

Instead, he has remained on Merseyside, which will allow him to familiarize himself with his new surroundings ahead of the Premier League's return next week.

And Reds supporters might get their first chance to see Chiesa in action on Saturday at Anfield when Liverpool take on Nottingham Forest.
