Feyenoord forward Igor Paixao has hinted he would like to leave the club this summer amid growing reports of interest from Liverpool.

It’s the sort of form that has resulted in speculation of a summer move and, invariably for any a player starring at Arne Slot ’s former side, a switch to Liverpool has been mooted.

Just days later the club’s former manager Rob Jacobs encouraged Liverpool to sign Paixao this summer, claiming in an interview with Rijnmond that he is better than Cody Gakpo.



Gakpo is of course also a fantastic player and is doing well at Liverpool, but I think Paixao is better.

Igor Paixao knows Arne Slot well from their time at Feyenoord.
