Despite the international break being over, there is still a bit longer to wait until Liverpool are back in action. This weekend is dedicated to the FA Cup quarter-finals, with the teams not involved having a second weekend in a row off.

The Reds return to the Premier League on Wednesday night as they take on Everton at Anfield (8pm kick-off). Arne Slot’s side will look to get revenge after conceding a late equaliser in the reverse fixture.

Trent documents being prepared

Real Madrid are preparing the final details before Trent Alexander-Arnold completes a move from Liverpool. The full-back is set to join the Spanish side on a free transfer at the end of his contract at Anfield at the end of the season.

The move seems to have taken a big step forward in the last few days, with it getting closer. Journalist Fabrizio Romano has given the latest:

"Everything is almost agreed, it is just abouit the final details of the contract and then Trent Alexander-Arnold will be a new Real Madrid player on a five-year deal,” he told GiveMeSport.

"The agreement is really close, they already started exchanging all the documents in terms of official proposals, so we wait really for the final steps and then Liverpool will be informed by Real Madrid at the right moment as soon as they get everything signed and completed.

"My expectation is absolutely for Trent to be a new Real Madrid player in the summer."

£100m demand

Liverpool are one of the clubs keeping a close eye on Southampton winger Tyler Dibling ahead of the summer transfer window. The Daily Mail report that the Reds were one of the clubs in attendance at England U19s game vs Turkey last weekend as they cast an eye over the 19-year-old.

Despite Southampton’s struggles in the Premier League this season, Dibling has been a standout player with Man United, Tottenham and Newcastle the other teams linked.
