Arne Slot has given fitness updates on Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez ahead of a potential title clincher against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Conor Bradley’s campaign at Liverpool has been repeatedly disrupted by fitness setbacks, with the right-back completing 90 minutes just twice in 17 appearances across all competitions.

The 21-year-old Northern Ireland international; has missed 14 matches this term across three separate injuries – although most have centered around his hamstring.

His latest hamstring tear occurred during a 22-minute substitute appearance against Aston Villa on February 198, ruling him out for six weeks and forcing him to miss the Carabao Cup final5.

Though he returned to training in late March, manager Arne Slot exercised caution, limiting Bradley to brief cameos to avoid reinjury.

Meanwhile, Gomez’s season took a darker turn when a December hamstring injury recurred during his comeback start against Plymouth on February 28, requiring immediate surgery.

The 27-year-old, who had started nine consecutive Premier League games before his initial injury, faced a three-month rehabilitation timeline outlined by Slot4.

Recent training ground sightings suggest Gomez could feature in Liverpool’s final two league matches against Brighton (May 18) and Crystal Palace (May 25) – although the league should be wrapped up by then.

Speaking in his pre-Tottenham press conference, Arne Slot confirmed that Bradley is getting ‘closer’ to being able to play full matches:

“He’s getting closer to 90 minutes and it’s normal if you play twice 70 mins the chance is getting closer.

Let’s wait and see if he can play.”

“It’s going to be important for him to play many games in a row if he wants to become a better player.”

“But we have Trent here and that’s the only reason he hasn’t done so already.

That might be his next step, but as long as Trent is here it might be a difficult step for him to make.”

On Joe Gomez, the Dutchman confirmed the defender is still out and gave a timeline for his return:

“If his recovery goes well he would be able to in last two games of season but isn’t training with us yet?

But is getting closer.”
