Liverpool will already turn their focus back to the Premier League after thrashing Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.

“I know the turn of the year in February or March they are going to go on a 13, 14, 15-match winning streak and win the league again.
“So, if it was Liverpool or Arsenal you would probably be more concerned, but City you know they have what it takes.”
On the same night Liverpool enjoyed a super Champions League result, Man City were dealt a crushing blow.
Guardiola’s side were hammered 4-1 by Sporting Lisbon, following their defeats to Tottenham Hotspur and Bournemouth in the League Cup and Premier League respectively.

It is a worrying period for the Premier League champions, who travel to Brighton on Saturday in a bid to get their league campaign back on track.
