Rafa Benitez has opened up about the disappointing period he has endured since leaving the Premier League.
The 64-year-old managed Liverpool, Newcastle United and Everton before leaving the English top-flight in 2022.
He has been out of work for more than a year and recently turned down the chance to get back into coaching.
On Merseyside, Benitez won the Champions League in the 2004/05 season and the English Super Cup in 2007.
Benitez left Goodison Park after just over six months with Everton six points above the relegation zone.
The Spaniard then coached Celta Vigo for a season before being dismissed for winning just five in 28 games.

Now, 64, he revealed he has no intentions of retiring and is preparing for his next chapter - having almost joined Brazilian side Botafogo last month.
But I was always waiting for the Premier League because it's the league that I like.
You have to choose the right opportunity and hopefully it will come soon."
Last month, Benitez was spotted in the stands at the Etihad Stadium during Manchester City's 3-2 Champions League loss.
