Real Madrid is a sought-after destination for Liverpool stars of past and present if current rumours are to be believed.
Former midfielder Xabi Alonso and ex-manager Jurgen Klopp have both been linked as possible replacements for Carlo Ancelotti at the Santiago Bernabeu, while Trent Alexander-Arnold continues to name dropped ahead of a potential summer transfer to the La Liga side.
Pressure on Ancelotti is reportedly growing now that his side have followed the Reds out of the Champions League earlier than expected.

And of course there is 2005 European Cup winner Alonso, currently the manager of Bayer Leverkusen, who has been touted Real's next manager ever since he was linked with the job Arne Slot now holds.
However, there is another name in the running who has gone under the radar, possibly pushed aside by these star-studded names.
Alvaro Arbeloa, who made 98 appearances for Rafael Benitez's Reds between 2007 and 2009, has since finished his playing career and become a coach of Real Madrid's Juvenil A side.

His efforts are well-appreciated in his homeland, notably winning a 'young treble' in 2022/23 with youth league, Champions League, and Copa del Rey successes.
Forbes explain how though there are others in Real's academy system who may stand above him, the former Liverpool full-back would nevertheless be in the running for a short-term occupancy of the senior team if Ancelotti walks before the end of the season and this summer's FIFA Club World Cup.
That would be before a new permanent selection is made and who knows, the Spaniard may just be able to land himself a huge break into senior management.
Another aspect of Liverpool attentiveness to this scenario is because of Alexander-Arnold's future.
