Liverpool will look to take another significant step toward securing the Premier League title when they travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
Arne Slot’s side currently sit 12 points clear at the top of the table and need just 13 more points from their remaining eight fixtures to mathematically secure what would be their 20th English top-flight title.
The Reds are coming off a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Everton in the Merseyside derby and will be looking to maintain their impressive momentum against a Fulham side with European ambitions of their own.
In terms of Liverpool team news, the staff will continue to monitor the fitness of goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who missed the Merseyside derby due to concussion protocols.
If he’s unavailable, Caoimhin Kelleher will continue between the posts.
Right-back remains a position of concern with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez both sidelined through injury, while Conor Bradley faces a late fitness tests but in all likelhood will not feature.
Curtis Jones filled in admirably at right-back against Everton and may be called upon again.
The Cottagers have traditionally struggled against Liverpool, winning just one of their last 13 Premier League encounters.
However, they pushed the Reds to their limits in the reverse fixture at Anfield in December, twice taking the lead before Liverpool, reduced to ten men after Andy Robertson’s early dismissal, fought back to secure a 2-2 draw with goals from Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota.
Marco Silva, who has been linked with high-profile moves away from the West London club in recent weeks, will have to navigate the clash without three of his key players:
Harry Wilson (19 PL appearances):
Former Liverpool man Harry Wilson suffered a stress fracture in his fifth metatarsal during Fulham’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on January 26, 2025.
The injury required surgery, with manager Marco Silva confirming an initial prognosis of 8–10 weeks on the sidelines.
The Welsh winger underwent a successful operation in early February, but Silva later revised the timeline, suggesting Wilson could be out until mid-April.
Wilson had contributed four goals and three assists in 19 league appearances prior to the injury – making him a miss for the home side.
Kenny Tete ( 15 PL appearances):
Tete sustained a knee ligament injury during Fulham’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool in December 14, 2024?
The Dutch right-back was substituted and has not featured since.
Setbacks extended his absence meaning that Timothy Castagne will likely continue to fill in at right-back vs the Reds.
Reiss Nelson (12 PL appearances):
The Arsenal loanee suffered his second hamstring injury of the season during a training session in February 2025 according to reports.
Silva confirmed the 25-year-old would likely miss the remainder of the season.
Before the injuries, Nelson had scored twice in 12 league appearances.
Fulham recently communicated that extra sets have been made available for the clash – meaning that most of the home section of the 29,600-capacity stadium will be filled up.
