VAR intervened to check the challenge of Ibrahima Konate on Bradley Barcola in Liverpool's Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG sporting director Luís Campos was involved in a furious half-time rant with the officials during Liverpool's Champions League round of 16 tie.
The Reds were fortunate not to be behind at the break after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's goal was ruled out for offside with Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola also going close for the hosts.
The French side were the better of the two and Liverpool were somewhat fortunate to see out the half with 11 men still on the pitch according to Campos.
Barcola was played in by a ball over the top, getting the wrong side of Konate who appeared to shove his fellow Frenchman in the back just as he was about to shoot.
A VAR check for a possible penalty and red card subsequently followed but the referee's on field decision of no penalty stood and there was no red card for the Liverpool man.

It was a decision that incensed the PSG chief, who could be heard berating the officials in the tunnel at half-time in a clip shared online.
“It’s a red card or a penalty,” Campos stated multiple times - according to Get French Football - when the referees returned to the dressing room, referencing the incident.

Canal+Foot also referenced the incident in a tweet, posting: "Luis Campos's big anger in the corridor of the Parc des Princes who demands a red card against Ibrahima Konaté for his gesture on Bradley Barcola."
Those on commentary duty were also left surprised by the decision with Rio Ferdinand and Ally McCoist making their feelings crystal clear.
Ferdinand boldly stated: “That is a foul.
"If that's not a red card I'll be amazed.” McCoist then added: “I thought that was a foul, but anyway that's a good break for Liverpool.”
