Gary Neville believes Jamie Carragher's prediction that Liverpool will win the Premier League this season and also retain its crown next year is a bold one considering the uncertain futures of some of the Reds' star players.
Liverpool is on course to claim a second league crown in six seasons after racking up a significant lead at the top of the standings with just over a quarter of the season remaining.
And the team's form prompted Carragher to tip his old club to make it back-to-back league wins in 2025-26.
He told The Overlap US: "Next season will be the first time I predict Liverpool will win the league at the start of the season.
It is great to get level with United but I think Liverpool has a really big opportunity in the summer to kick on again under Slot.

Neville, however, thinks a lot will depend on whether the club manages to keep hold of the likes of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk beyond the end of the season.
Salah, Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all set to become free agents at on July 1 as things stand, and all three players have been vital to the team's success in recent years.
"I think there is a massive caveat on that," Neville said in response to Carragher's prediction.
"If Salah and Van Dijk leave, you're not talking like that.
But even if Van Dijk was to go, that is a huge hole to fill."
Carragher, though, is confident Salah and Van Dijk will end up renewing their deals and he added: "I just can't see any situation where those two players aren't in a red shirt next season
