Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has warned that Trent Alexander-Arnold is running out of time to clarify his future.

That message comes as Liverpool edge closer to the Premier League title.

The Liverpool right-back was their man of the moment on Sunday, scoring the winning goal against Leicester City to move the Reds within three points of glory.

The 26-year-old, returning from over a month on the side-lines with an injury, came on as a late substitute to rubber-stamp a crucial victory at the King Power Stadium.

When asked about his future after the match, Alexander-Arnold remained firm in his stance, insisting it would not be discussed until the appropriate time.

However, speculation continues to spiral in both the media and the wider footballing world, with growing belief that he will be a Real Madrid player next season.

Speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast, after Sunday's match, the former Manchester United defender warned that the situation is becoming increasingly unpalatable, and that Alexander-Arnold will need to provide clarity - possibly even as early as next week.

"There's going to come a point - probably in about seven days' time - around this time next Sunday whereby he's going to have nowhere else to go because the season will be over for Liverpool - in essence," Neville said.

Teammates Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have both signed new two-year deals in the last two weeks - putting an end to speculation right as Liverpool prepare to celebrate a likely title triumph.

Following Sunday's win, Arne Slot's side now need just three more points to be confirmed as champions.

It could come as early as midweek if Arsenal lose to Crystal Palace, or then on Sunday should Liverpool defeat Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
