Liverpool were once again victors in the Premier League, with Mohamed Salah again the hero against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Egyptian international scored a fantastic winner against the Seagulls to secure a 2-1 win, with Liverpool manager Arne Slot hailing Salah as ‘special’ after the forward’s latest goalscoring antics for the Reds.
With the result putting Liverpool top of the Premier League, the former AS Roma star is proving why he is still one of the best attackers in the world, though Salah did post a cryptic message on social media after this weekend’s win.
And Micah Richards has now weighed in on if Salah could leave Liverpool next summer.

Speaking on the Rest is Football, the pundit claimed that Salah wants to stay at Liverpool, with Richards convinced that the winger wants to break more records for the Reds having set so many in the last eight years.
Richards said when asked about Salah’s future at Liverpool: “Get it done, sign it, but I think he wants to stay, I think he wants to break records.
I just think he’s outstanding.
The consistency is the key, not having to play all that well but still scoring important goals.

“And I just think, from Liverpool’s point of view, yes, every player can be replaced, but I still think he’s got two, three years left at this level.
He’s lean, he’s in great shape, he’s still working hard.

“He was quick, but he never really relied on pace to beat people, it was more just like his acceleration and then he’s finishing.
So I think Liverpool need to get it done.”

Salah has been at his usual world-class best this season, with the 33-year-old attacker a key reason behind Liverpool’s impressive form and their charges towards the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
Yet with the winger’s contract expiring next summer, Liverpool must be doing all they can to renew Salah’s current deal, with the attacker simply too good to be allowed to leave for nothing at the end of this season.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold and Vigil van Dijk in similar positions, Liverpool find themselves with a big problem on their hands, yet Salah’s form this season should make the attacker the priority in contract talks.
