Former Liverpool manager Graeme Souness has implored his former club to back current incumbent Arne Slot with signings in the summer - with the Reds closing in on a historic Premier League triumph.

However, having won five league titles during seven glittering years as a player at Liverpool, ex-Reds skipper Souness is eager to stress the importance of strengthening while on top.
