Nottingham Forest secured one of the biggest shocks of the Premier League already this season with a 1-0 win away to Liverpool.

Arne Slot saw his perfect start as manager of the Reds come to a surprising end as Callum Hudson-Odoi’s second-half strike was enough for Forest to come away with a historic win against Liverpool at Anfield.

Speaking to the press after the result, Nuno shared how Alex Moreno was tasked with man-marking Mohamed Salah out of the game, with the Spanish defender doing just that against the in-form Liverpool superstar.

Nuno said when asked how Forest were able to negate Liverpool’s potent attack at Anfield: “Alex had a hard task going one-v-one up against Salah but I think he did well.

But when he finished he was really tired!”

Given how good Salah has been this season for Liverpool, the Egyptian winger’s performance on Saturday was more than underwhelming, with the forward enduring one of his worst games in some time.

Yet with a huge game in AC Milan coming up next for Salah, the former AS Roma star knows what he needs to do if he’s to redeem himself after this weekend’s disappointing display at Anfield.

Salah is fully aware that he was played like a fiddle against Forest this weekend, with the Nottingham-based side getting their defensive tactics bang on it when it came to dealing with the Liverpool winger.

But with a big game against Milan on the horizon, Salah will be itching to get back out onto the pitch and to prove Liverpool fans and the world just how good he still is after an electric start to the season.

Salah is potent in the UEFA Champions League and has been huge for Liverpool in the big games, and the 32-year-old will want to prove that at the San Siro next week against Milan.
