Alan Shearer has instructed Liverpool to make a sensational move for Harry Kane in a bid to bolster their attack.
Despite the Reds being runaway leaders in the Premier League, the club have succeeded without a consistent striker.
Yet, rumours suggest he could return to the Premier League, and Shearer thinks a move to Liverpool would be a win-win situation.
"Liverpool will be looking for a centre-forward in the summer, I don't doubt that, and Harry Kane would be a great option for them because of the size of the club, and he'll score goals," Shearer said to Betfair.
"Whether Harry decides to stay in Germany or he decides to come back to the Premier League, he'll have options."
A return to England would likely result in Kane breaking Shearer's Premier League scoring record.
"I've always said that if he comes back to the Premier League, then he'll have a really, really good chance of breaking my record," Shearer admitted.
Harry Kane had been hot on his heels, netting an impressive 213 goals for Tottenham Hotspur before his headline-grabbing switch to Bayern Munich in 2023.
While Kane sits in second place, the highest-ranked among active Premier League forwards is Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, who has racked up 184 goals.
The Reds might be on the lookout for fresh firepower in the summer, given Nunez's patchy form, with a tally of just seven strikes in 40 appearances this season.
However, Shearer has defended Kane, who found the back of the net in both of England's matches during the international break, insisting that he won't lose his goal-scoring prowess.
"Harry Kane is a machine, and he'll always score goals," Shearer said.
