Arne Slot has a big job on to match the legacy left by Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Obviously, much of how Slot will be measured up to his predecessor will be determined by trophies won and points collected.
However, another way of matching the Dutchman up against Klopp at Anfield will be how he uses the Liverpool academy.
Klopp was notorious for giving the young players at his disposal a chance with the first-team squad.
If players from the U21’s or U18’s impressed the German, he would have no issue throwing them in.
This reaped big rewards last season in particular, with Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley establishing themselves as true first-team players.
Quansah didn’t make his debut until the age of 20 and had spent time out in League One with Bristol Rovers.
Bradley, meanwhile, was given a chance at a younger age than his defensive colleague but also had to spend a season in the third tier at Bolton Wanderers.

However, despite their different ways to the top, it was always clear that Quansah and Bradley could have a future at Liverpool.
The same is now already being said about summer arrivals Alvin Ayman and Rio Ngumoha.
Joining from Wolves and Chelsea respectively, the two players have been placed in the U18’s and have already made their debuts.

And speaking to the Liverpool ECHO about both Ayman and Ngumoha, U18’s coach Marc Bridge-Wilkinson says the two players have a real chance of being future stars.
“They are really nice, humble boys with a great attitude to learn,” says Bridge-Wilkinson.
The 16-year-old’s arrival has really captured the imagination.
There were claims that Chelsea were furious over losing Ngumoha and the winger certainly seems to have a big reputation.
That does not mean that his elevation to the first-team at Liverpool will be a given, however.
Ngumoha will still have to put in the work like everyone else and if he does not measure up in the eyes of the Reds’ coaches, then an ascension will not happen.
Having said that, the early signs appear to have been wholly positive.
If he keeps on this trajectory, then it would not be a surprise to see Ngumoha on the fringes of the first-team by the end of this season.
