Mohamed Salah has revealed the details of the kind of conversations he has been having with former boss Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp and Salah remain in touch months after the former Liverpool boss left Anfield.
The German manager, who helped restore Liverpool’s pride and won six major titles in his nine years at Anfield, left the club at the end of last season.
However, he has remained in touch with his former players despite resuming his new role as the Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull.
Speaking during his unveiling at Red Bull, Klopp shared his thoughts on Salah and his current contract situation at Liverpool.
“I hope he stays,” Klopp said in January.
“He is Liverpool’s best striker in modern times – and they had many great ones.
The best ambassador Egypt could have.”
Salah has now revealed that he and Klopp remain in touch, detailing some of his conversations with the 57-year-old in the last few months.
What Klopp told Salah
Speaking in a wide-ranging interview with Sky Sports Germany, Salah revealed that he and Klopp have written each other more frequently in the last few months.
“Yes, more than before,” he told Sky Sports Germany when asked whether he has contact with Klopp.
“We’re in good contact.
We’ve written to each other a lot in the last few months.
And he told me when he’ll be coming here next…”
