Liverpool could be facing the end of another era once the sun sets on the 2024/25 season.

Reds supporters have become used to saying goodbye to legends in recent years, with the likes of Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson and Sadio Mane all leaving.

The biggest pain of all came last summer, when Jurgen Klopp waved auf wiedersehen after nine glorious years with Liverpool.

Klopp left behind a group of players who – Joe Gomez aside – had never played for another Liverpool manager.

Not all of them were close with Jurgen, with some suggestions that Mohamed Salah had clashed with the German on plenty of occasions.

But as Salah himself prepares for a potential Anfield farewell, the Egyptian has revealed that he and his former boss are still in regular contact.

Klopp and Salah are two extremely strong personalities who by and large appeared to have a harmonious, mutually beneficial relationship.

However, they did butt heads as well, with one high profile touchline clash at West Ham the most famous of these ocassions.

Still, reports that the two did not especially like each other seem to have been well wide of the mark.

Asked during an interview with Sky Germany whether he is still in touch with Klopp nine months on from his departure, Salah claimed that their relationship is even closer than ever.

“Yes, more than before,” answered the 32-year-old.

And he told me when he’ll be coming here next…”

As well as commenting on his chats with Klopp, Salah also opened up on whether he has been in touch with Man City new boy Omar Marmoush.

Salah will come face-to-face with his countryman on Sunday when Liverpool face City and Mo says he has already told his ‘little brother’ to let him know if he needs any support.

“It’s good [their relationship], he’s like a little brother,” said the Liverpool legend.

“I told him that I’m always there if he needs anything.
