Harvey Elliott joined Liverpool as a teenager and has since blossomed into one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League.
At 21-years-old, the midfielder has already made 138 appearances for Liverpool and is currently coming off the back of his best moment yet for the Reds after Elliott scored the winning goal against PSG in a smash-and-grab win in France.
With Jamie O’Hara highlighting how good Elliott can become for Liverpool, the England youth international is on course to have a great career at the highest level in football, with the Reds landing on a real bargain with the former Fulham wonderkid.
And Elliott has now shared which Liverpool legend has been a mentor for him ever since signing for the club as a 16-year-old.

Speaking to Amazon Prime, Elliott revealed how Mohamed Salah quickly took the youngster under his wing at Liverpool, with the midfielder in awe that a legend as big as the Egyptian international wanted to become a mentor for the Surrey-born talent so soon after arriving.
Elliott said: “He’s done everything, I was kinda surprised to be honest given the greatness of who he is and what he’s achieved in football.

“Even to this day, me and him have a really close connection and it’s morphed into a friendship with him trying to help me out, the way he’s put me on the path to where I am today is just amazing.”
Despite etching his way into Liverpool folklore with his winning goal against PSG, Elliott’s future at Anfield isn’t as secure as many initially think, with the odds of the midfielder leaving in the summer somewhat high.
Liverpool will not block Elliott from leaving in the transfer window with the 21-year-old frustrated with the lack of playing time under Arne Slot, with the Dutch manager more conservative with the midfielder’s minutes than Jurgen Klopp.
Indeed, Elliott leaving Liverpool at this stage in his career would feel like a kick in the teeth for supporters, who know that the former Fulham academy star still has a lot to give and who could still develop into a world-class player for the Reds.
