Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah got the Reds comfortably in front before half-time, but it wouldn’t turn out to be plain sailing for Arne Slot’s men.
Wolves ‘danger man’ Matheus Cunha would cast doubt into Liverpool minds with a beautifully curved effort midway through the second half.

Having entered half-time cruising at 2-0, many would have expected the Reds to kill the game off in the second half.
That of course wouldn’t be the case though, with Liverpool failing to lay a glove on Wolves after half-time, not even mustering a single shot on goal in the process.
Despite Diaz’s bright moments, Liverpool undoubtedly missed Gakpo on the left flank which was shown by their lack of shots in the second half.
