Liverpool are on the verge of Premier League glory and it is possible the title can be won today.

Arne Slot's side sit 13 points above Arsenal before their trip to Ipswich Town which comes just a few hours before Liverpool take on Leicester City at King Power Stadium.

Despite most teams still needing to play six games, the Reds are in a great position to win the league during the month of April.

Only a few months ago were Mikel Arteta's side just a few points behind the leaders, but their Champions League campaign has been the clear focus.

Considering the fixtures that await Liverpool in the final weeks of the season, they will want to secure the title as soon as possible and there is one scenario that could see that happen this afternoon.

With that being said, the ECHO has taken a detailed look at all the possible scenarios from today's fixtures and beyond that which would hand them the title.

With six points needed to win the title, Liverpool may only need to get three of those on the board if Arsenal lose away at Ipswich Town just a few hours before their game against Leicester.

Defeat for Arsenal and victory for Liverpool will see Arne Slot's team become Premier League champions TODAY.

Unfortunately, any positive result for Arsenal this afternoon means it will be impossible for Liverpool to win the league today.

A draw will require less to be done but the gap would not be enough to mathematically confirm Liverpool as champions even if they beat Leicester.

Regardless of what happens in East Anglia, Liverpool cannot be crowned Premier League winners unless they beat Leicester.

This is where things become a little complex as Arsenal play four days before Liverpool.

If the title race is still alive, a win for Arsenal at home to Palace, assuming they did not lose to Ipswich, means Liverpool just need to beat Spurs to win the league.

The Reds could potentially be confirmed as the champions without even playing if Palace beat Arsenal after victories for both teams the previous weekend.

A draw on Wednesday evening would not be enough to hand the Reds the title as Arsenal could technically still make up the 12-point gap and the goal difference swing, also of 12, in the final four games with one of those coming against Liverpool.

Another three points for the Gunners however, would keep it alive and Liverpool's task would be to just defeat Spurs that weekend.

Though many associated with Liverpool will just want to have their triumph confirmed, winning the title at Anfield is the dream after their recent crowning moment came with no fans in attendance.
