Liverpool face PSG next week in what could be one of the most entertaining UEFA Champions League ties in quite some time.
The Reds have been in electric form in the Premier League with Arne Slot’s side also claiming top spot in the revamped Champions League format, with PSG unable to finish in the top-eight after starting off their European campaign in poor form.
Despite this, the French giants are looking as dangerous as they have done in some time, even with Luis Enrique naming Liverpool as the best team in Europe having made the Champions League league phase look like a cake walk.
Indeed, Liverpool’s round of 16 tie with PSG could be one for the ages, and the two sides head into the series in immense form, which could make calling a winner difficult to predict looking from the outside.

Liverpool might be cruising towards the Premier League title and readying to reclaim their League Cup title, but in the last ten games in all competitions, PSG’s form blows the Anfield side’s out of the water and then some.

The French giants have managed an astonishing ten wins from ten in all competitions, including two 7-0 wins, most notably against Ligue 1 rivals Brest in their Champions League play-off, a series that Enrique’s side won 10-0 on aggregate.
Although Liverpool have managed some big wins against the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham and high-flying AFC Bournemouth, PSG’s results have arguably been better, with the Parisian side claiming a big win against LOSC Lille this weekend in Ligue 1.
As a result, Liverpool know they are in for a big test against PSG this week, with the reigning French champions looking to finally go the distance this season in the Champions League having failed to claim the biggest prize in European football.

Yet when comparing Liverpool’s results to PSG, the Ligue 1 side have claimed some impressive scorelines in the Champions League, namely their 4-2 win against City, where the Parisian giants came from 2-0 down to claim a big result.
With PSG also winning big against Brest in the play-off round of the Champions League, Liverpool know they are facing a team who are at the peak of their powers, and the Reds will want to do all they can to beat the French champions to progress to the final eight.
