Find out how much more Mohamed Salah’s salary is than Virgil van Dijk’s after the pair are set to get new contracts.
The Egyptian maestro will continue to be the highest earner at the club after agreeing a new two year deal, with his new wages about to the most paid to a player in the club’s history.
During his eight year stay at Anfield, Salah has proven to be one of the greatest players to ever wear the club’s red and it comes as no surprise that he is the biggest earner at the Merseyside club.

With the new contract of Salah announced on Friday, the no.11 looks set to take home around £50 million across the next two years of his contract.
Van Dijk, whose contract has been agreed and will be announced in the coming weeks, currently earns £200,000 weekly and is expected to have negotiated an increase in his salary.
According to the Telegraph‘s Chris Bascombe, should all the clauses in his contract are followed, Salah will earn around £25 million per campaign, which amounts to about £480,000 per week.
Although Salah’s basic wage is uncertain right now, all evidence points to it being an increase on his previous deal of £350,000 weekly, which he signed back in 2022.
Alisson Becker is the club’s third highest earner, while Trent Alexander-Arnold is believed to be in a similar bracket on his contract which runs out on Just 1st.
It is unexpected for Van Dijk’s new contract to be close to Salah’s deal, which would leave the Egyptian as the highest paid player at the Merseyside club as both of them will be looking to continue to play a huge role in Arne Slot’s team next season.
