Liverpool face Aston Villa at Villa Park tonight in what will be a big match for both sides.
The Reds, unbeaten in 21 league games, aim to extend their seven-point lead over Arsenal, while Villa—ninth and winless in four league matches—seek to revive their European hopes.
Injury Updates:
Aston Villa: Key absences include Ezri Konsa (hamstring), Pau Torres (metatarsal), Matty Cash (muscle), Boubacar Kamara (muscle), and Amadou Onana (hamstring). Leon Bailey (undisclosed) is a doubt, leaving Villa’s defense and midfield depleted.
Liverpool: Cody Gakpo (ankle), Joe Gomez (hamstring), and Tyler Morton (shoulder) are sidelined, but Curtis Jones returns from suspension.

With Villa’s defense weakened, expect the likes of Mohamed Salah to get on the scoring board at the very least. Liverpool are unbeaten in 13 away league games this season (9 wins, 4 draws).
Speaking ahead of the game, Unai Emery heaped the praise on Arne Slot and believes the level of Liverpool has gone up under his stewardship compared to the last two seasons:
“I appreciate the very high performance they are getting this year, more than the last two years when I arrived here,” he said in his press conference yesterday.
“Of course, with Klopp, they did fantastic, but this year with Slot, they are even doing better.”
“For me as a coach, it’s really a big challenge tomorrow, a great challenge to try to be motivated, how we can collectively set our gameplan against them.”
“It is the most difficult match we are going to play for the last weeks and months.”
The Spaniard also labelled Liverpool as “the best team in Premier League” and “the best team in Europe.”
