Liverpool faced the tricky task of trying to win away at Brentford on Saturday afternoon.
The Bees have the third-best home record in the Premier League behind title challengers Liverpool and Arsenal and had their tails up after coming from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Man City on Tuesday.
Liverpool-linked Bryan Mbeumo looked lively on the right wing for Brentford, with one of the Cameroonian’s crosses going straight across goal and a tame shot providing an easy save for Alisson.
As for Liverpool, Cody Gakpo headed straight at Mark Flekken in the Brentford goal, while Luis Diaz missed a glorious chance shortly after.
The Colombian latched onto a brilliant direct pass from Ibrahima Konate but complicated the opportunity by trying to use the back of his head.

Writing on the BBC Sport live football blog, pundit Chris Sutton couldn’t believe the chance spurned by the Reds winger, stating: “What a chance for Luis Diaz.
That’s a huge miss, had he gone back across Mark Flekken Liverpool would have taken the lead.”
The arrival of Slot has seen Diaz given a different role at Anfield with the winger being used up front, which has worked to an extent.
Diaz has produced 12 goals and three assists across 27 matches for Liverpool heading into the Brentford match and his performances have kept the likes of Darwin Nunez and Jota out of Slot’s starting 11.
In an ideal world, Liverpool fans would like a natural number nine leading the line for their club, and although Diaz is not a killer in front of goal, the winger has done exceptionally well in a role that was foreign to be before a ball was kicked this season.
