The international break can often be a time when Liverpool players open up a little more while speaking to the press.
Faced with reporters speaking their own language and away from the setting of their club, stars tend to be more at ease during national team duty.
This can sometimes lead to some revelations, especially ahead of the final break before the summer transfer window.
One player who does not need to come out to confirm nor deny a move is goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Mamardashvili is all set to join Liverpool during pre-season having been signed last August from Valencia.
It has not been a stellar season for the 24-year-old, with Valencia struggling to retain their La Liga status.
Still the undisputed number one for Georgia, though, Mamardashvili played – and got an assist – for his country as they beat Armenia 3-0 on Thursday.
With his arrival in the Liverpool squad now not too far away, the goalie has been looking ahead to what he plans to do at Anfield and his anticipated battle for the number one shirt with Alisson Becker.

There is plenty of intrigue and anticipation around Mamardashvili joining Liverpool this summer.
The Georgian is an accomplished goalkeeper, but Alisson is clearly still the number one.
There have been reports to suggest that Mamardashvili will not be happy to accept a back-up role at Liverpool, though, and his comments after Thursday’s game would suggest that to be the case.

“I am going to Liverpool to fight for the number one spot,” he told reporters.
“I will go there to train at my best and I don’t know what they will decide afterward.
I don’t decide who plays and who doesn’t.”

Mamardashvili has received criticism for his performances for Valencia recently, with a potential suggestion that he has one eye on his move already.
But this is certainly fighting talk from the Georgian, who sounds well up for a battle with Alisson.
Thursday was certainly an easier day at the office for Mamardashvili than Alisson.
The Brazil goalkeeper was taken off after a clash of heads against Colombia and subsequent reports have suggested that Alisson could miss the match with Argentina.
For Mamardashvili, things were much more straightforward as Georgia picked up a comfortable win over Armenia.
As well as registering an improbable assist, the Valencia man made two saves and ended with a pass accuracy of 78%.
This is not the kind of game to truly test his credentials for the starting shirt at Anfield, but it should help to restore Mamardashvili’s confidence after a rough season so far.
