Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has warned the club it will be “impossible” to replace Mohamed Salah if he leaves this summer.
The Egyptian’s future remains uncertain with just a few months now remaining on his contract at Anfield.
As things stand, he will leave Liverpool for nothing in the summer, having been able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs since January.
Liverpool fans will be desperate to retain the services of Salah, as well as Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who find themselves in the same boat.
What’s more, he continues to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, with officials from the Middle East becoming more brazen in their attempts to lure him to the Pro League.
And Fowler, speaking to BoyleSports, who offer today’s football odds, is fearing the worst if Salah ends up moving on this summer.
“You’re in the realms of impossible when it comes to replacing Mohamed Salah at Liverpool,” Fowler said.
“If Salah leaves Liverpool then they will become a poorer team whoever comes in.

His performances haven’t always been brilliant but he will always pop up with something beautiful and out of the ordinary.
“It will be a sad day if he doesn't sign a new contract because when you have aspirations of winning the Premier League, Champions League and domestic cups you need to have players like Salah around.
“There are so few players matching his numbers and any replacement would be downgrading, fingers crossed he stays at Liverpool because a sad day is looming.”
