It’s shaping up to be quite the day.
Liverpool can win the Premier League at a full Anfield and, for the first time, doing so is wholly in our own hands.
Like many Reds, I was hoping for a draw midweek so we can win the league title at Anfield, in the ground this Sunday surrounded by friends and familiar faces.
If the rumours were true about the squad gathering to watch the game together, I’m sure they’d have all been beaming with delight come the final whistle after Mateta’s late equaliser which will be forever etched into the minds of Liverpool fans when we look back on season.
With all the talk in recent months about the title race being over, I felt so alive just watching that match and I think that anxiety, drama and release will only be amplified in the ground come Sunday when hopefully we leave the turnstiles as Premier League Champions once more, to a sky of red smoke and packed boozers to kickstart a month of celebrations.

I was straddling two horses last night( figuratively) as Arsenal battled Crystal Palace; upon the one hand I was in a fit of fever when Palace drew level and nearly clinched the game, and yet I was also in a frenzy with the possibility of title celebrations being more like a whimper than a bang if the title had been secured on Wednesday evening
