Liverpool look likely to win the Premier League this season after a remarkable first year under Arne Slot.

Slot has confounded the experts to lead the Reds to what is fast becoming a title procession.

Rewind back to the end of the 2023/24 campaign, and few would have seen this coming.

Only nine months ago, Liverpool were mourning the loss of Jurgen Klopp as their manager and figurehead.

Klopp didn’t die, of course.

But the mood amongst the Reds supporters and the Liverpool squad on May 19th 2024 was certainly one of sadness, as Anfield waved goodbye to one of its favourite sons.

Klopp himself was keen to keep the positivity up, and was surprisingly joyful on a tremendously sad day.

But as new footage from inside the Liverpool dressing room showed, the German did crack as he delivered a final address to his players.

It remains to be seen exactly how much interest there is from Liverpool fans in rehashing the end of Klopp’s tenure in 2024.

While it is always great to see the legendary former Liverpool manager speak about his time with the Reds, the end of his career on Merseyside was a tough watch.

MORE LIVERPOOL STORIES

The fact that Slot has got Liverpool sitting at the top of the league once again does help, but it’s still sad to see the last days of Klopp’s time with the club.

For those who do brave Amazon’s new, four-part series, though, the tissues will certainly be out as Jurgen’s final match against Wolves is re-lived.

With the dust settling on the 2-0 win and in turn on Klopp’s Liverpool spell, the cameras capture footage of the 57-year-old’s final address to his players in the dressing room.

“I want to say I love you, it’s been absolutely outstanding,” said Klopp, voice wavering.

Thank you very much and the sky’s the limit for you all.”

Given the way things ended for Liverpool under Klopp, there was perhaps no real need for this documentary to be released.

However, having been given a bit of a re-direction following the Reds poor end to the season, it is still good to see behind the scenes footage and gain some more insight into exactly what happened.

With Liverpool not in action this weekend, those keen to fill the void can head to Amazon Prime Video to watch the series.

All four episodes are now available to watch, and can be sat through in around three-and-a-half hours.
