Liverpool lost their third game in four matches after putting in a sloppy display against Fulham on Sunday.
The Reds had the chance to move 14 points clear at the top of the Premier League, and looked likely to make good on that after taking an early lead.
Alexis Mac Allister got the goal, and it was a brilliant one.
The Argentine unleashed a beauty to set Liverpool up for a good day at Craven Cottage.
However, the Reds then allowed Fulham back into the game.
After Ryan Sessegnon equalised, Liverpool let in two goals in five minutes to find themselves 3-1 down at the break.
Given the mess occurring within the Reds defence, many onlookers have put the poor performance down to a one of simple complacency from Liverpool.
But according to Mac Allister, there was another reason for the Reds’ disappointing day.

After Mac Allister scored, it looked like Liverpool were about to put another nail in what remains of Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge.
But then came the onslaught.
The first should have been dealt with by Ibrahima Konate and then Cutis Jones, the second was a comedy of errors from Andy Robertson and the third was all on Virgil van Dijk.

And according to Mac Allister, these individual errors – not a collective complacency – were what cost Liverpool at Craven Cottage.
“When you get to this stage of the tournament, every mistake you do is hard and you get punished,” the 26-year-old told LFCTV after the game.

“We have a team where we have a lot of players with experience and today wasn’t a good experience.
“But it’s clear that we made decisions wrong, we made mistakes and that’s why we lost this game.”
Of course Mac Allister would never admit to some complacency within the Liverpool squad heading to Craven Cottage on Sunday.
But it’s clear that the Reds do have this problem.
Robertson has been better recently but this is not the first time he has cost Liverpool this season.
