Liverpool fans will be fearing the worst as Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk near the expiry of their contracts.
The contracts of the Liverpool trio will all expire next summer, with the Anfield faithful now being forced to think about life without the star players.
Ally McCoist can’t believe Liverpool’s contract dealings with the key men, who could all leave for free at the end of the season.
Richard Keys says Salah wants to stay at Liverpool, but there have been very few clear updates on what his future holds.
And the same can be said for Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold, with all three enjoying superb seasons so far under Arne Slot.

At 26, Alexander-Arnold is the youngest of the trio, with Van Dijk and Salah having turned 33 and 32 respectively in the summer.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has now shared his verdict on what he thinks will come next for all three players, telling Football Daily: “I’m pretty confident that the two older lads will sign, because I think they’re probably at the stage of their career now where it’s difficult to move to a club better than Liverpool for those two.
“And listen for me, the only two clubs where sometimes if I was in the dressing room when I was a player that people would move on to would be the Spanish giants.
And I think Mo Salah will be desperate to break as many records as he possibly can at Liverpool.

“And I think the argument, we’ve all been there haven’t we, where you’re looking for that last contract and it’s not really about money, it’s about maybe length of contract for those lads as they get a little bit older.
“Trent, he’s in a different situation, and that’s probably the one most people are now worried about, with the situation with Real Madrid obviously being interested, but also the fact that [Dani] Carvajal has just done his ACL, so they are obviously desperate for a right back as well for the next probably 18 months.”
It would certainly be an intriguing scenario whereby Van Dijk and Salah extend their deals and Alexander-Arnold doesn’t.
The academy graduate clearly has a long way to go in his career, with his two Liverpool teammates at the opposite end.
But all three undoubtedly have plenty still to give to the Reds, but whether or not they are able to do that remains to be seen.

Liverpool fans want to keep all three players in an ideal world, but may have to settle for a compromise at the end of the season.
And that could involve losing Alexander-Arnold at the expense of Salah and Van Dijk, which certainly wouldn’t be the worst outcome.
Every fan will have different opinions on who to prioritise, with Van Dijk’s leadership and Salah’s goals certain to be missed at Anfield if they moved on.
