Liverpool are just one win away from clinching the Premier League title, with some eyes already looking towards next season.

The Reds have been the best team in England by some distance this year with Arne Slot proving himself to be the perfect successor to Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, with the Dutchman set to win the title at the first time of asking.

With Gary Neville impressed with Slot’s player development at Liverpool, the former Feyenoord head coach has done a fine job in evolving Klopp’s final squad with the Reds and transforming them into a team that is capable of competing for the Premier League title.

And Michael Owen has now named a Liverpool youngster who will be itching to be part of Slot’s plans for next season.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, the former England superstar noted how Conor Bradley will be ‘desperate’ to get involved with Liverpool’s first-team squad next season, ideally as Trent Alexander-Arnold’s replacement.

Tony Adams highlighted Bradley as a successor for the England international this summer with Alexander-Arnold expected to join Real Madrid once his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season.

And Owen seems to agree with the Arsenal legend, with the pundit saying: “You would prefer to have Trent in your squad, absolutely, he’s just come on and won Liverpool the game, he’s got some things that are different to everyone else.

“It would have been a disaster if Virgil and Mo hadn’t signed, but I think you have to give Conor Bradley his due, he’s been bursting to get into that Red shirt, and he deserves a bigger chance now.”

Replacing Alexander-Arnold will be a fools errand for Liverpool this summer given how unique the England international is and how expensive it would be to find a player who can offer what the right-back gives for the Reds.

As a result, Bradley is the obvious choice to replace Alexander-Arnold this summer, with the Northern Ireland international impressing for Liverpool whenever given the chance by Slot this season whilst delivering consistent 7/10 performances.

Indeed, Bradley is likely to become Liverpool’s new starting right-back next season, and the 21-year-old has more than deserved his chance with the Reds after constantly stepping up for the Anfield side in Alexander-Arnold’s absence this year.
