Harvey Elliott has previously revealed he turned down Real Madrid in order to sign for Liverpool.

Elliott made the move to his boyhood club in 2019 from Fulham, where he became the youngest debutant in Premier League history when he featured against Wolves - aged 16 years and 30 days.
The 21-year-old has made no secret of his affiliation with Liverpool, following the Reds with his father.
And in a 2020 interview with the Athletic, the Englishman explained how he snubbed a move to the Spanish capital and the prospect of meeting Sergio Ramos after Real looked to convince him to join the club.
I turned it down because of what he did to Mo.
"As a little kid, I just remember the buzz of walking up the steps inside the stand at Anfield, seeing the lights and the players warming up – what a sight," he added on how he came to support the Reds.
