Arne Slot faced questions regarding the decision to replace Konate at the interval.

Wolves' boss Vitor Pereira thought that the French international might have been on the verge of a second yellow card due to his challenge on Cunha.

Slot confirmed that the substitution was indeed a precautionary measure to prevent Konate from potentially being sent off.

"Yes, I took him off because of that (that he could get a second yellow card).

I saw him getting his first yellow - that for me was a soft yellow," Slot told reporters on Sunday

"If he had gotten his second one for a shoulder push, that would have again been a soft yellow so he would have been sent off for two soft yellows.
