Speaking to the Mirror, Alexander-Arnold has said that Klopp taking over the England job would be a surprise given that the German manager is keen to take some time off from football after nearly a decade at Liverpool.
Indeed, Klopp replacing Southgate would be a popular yet surprising decision given how recently the German has left Liverpool, and for Alexander-Arnold, the defender shares the same sentiment.

Alexander-Arnold said when asked how he would feel about Klopp taking the England job: “I enjoyed every moment I worked with him, we shared amazing memories, forged an amazing relationship, an amazing bond.
It was clear when he announced when he was leaving, the conversations I have had with him, everything on social media, he seems to be enjoying his time off, so it would be a huge surprise.”

Klopp managing England would be quite the surprise in the best possible way for Three Lions supporters, with the former Liverpool man the sort of profile the FA should be targeting when it comes to finding a replacement for Southgate.
Yet with Klopp saying countless times that he wants a break from football, the German’s wishes need to be respected, with the Liverpool icon in need of some rest and relaxation in the coming months.
Although Klopp might be perfect for the role, the former Borussia Dortmund man knows he needs a break from football, and 2025 should be when the German returns to the touchline.
