Former Liverpool favourite Fabio Borini is set to score off the pitch with the launch of a new padel centre, Padel16, at Worsley Sports Club in Salford, England.
The new spot is just an hour's drive from Liverpool and is poised to open its doors next month.
The venture pairs the ex-Reds forward and Italian international with local businessman Anthony Bingham, as they aim to serve the community by transforming Worsley Sports Club into a hub for sports, competition, and social gatherings.
Padel has been rapidly gaining popularity, being played by Arne Slot and his predecessor, Jurgen Klopp, who installed courts at the Liverpool training ground.
Now aged 34 and back in Italy with Sampdoria, Borini reflects on his new venture, claiming, "Padel16 is about more than just providing a fun, fast-paced sport.
It's about giving back to the community and rebuilding the club for the future.
"By reinvesting the money into the club, we're not only creating a new space for the community to enjoy, but also laying the groundwork for its future.
