Darwin Nunez has been a big topic of discussion following Liverpool’s draw to Aston Villa.
The Uruguayan striker missed an open goal in the second half of the contest, an action that left Liverpool coach Slot with his head in his hands.
It has been a tough season for the 25-year-old at Anfield and Gabriel Agbonlahor has now suggested that he knows what will happen to the striker following his Aston Villa miss.

Since Nunez arrived at Liverpool from Benfica as part of a £85m deal during the summer of 2022, his time on Merseyside has been a series of ups and downs.
Slot has improved any players within the current Liverpool squad, however, Nunez has not been one of them.
As a result, Agbonlahor thinks Liverpool will part ways with the striker this summer, as the 25-year-old’s lack of composure in front of goal is a trait he can’t seem to shake off.
ESPN FC pundit Alejandro Moreno shares similar thoughts to Agbonlahor regarding Nunez, which he expressed following Liverpool’s draw with Aston Villa.
“It is hard to think of another striker at a high level who misses as many easy chances as he does.”
“Obviously, on the easy chances where he has time, where there is an open goal, there’s too much thinking going on in that head… that is where the problem lies with Darwin Nunez.”
Liverpool fans were not happy with Nunez following his Aston Villa display but deep down, Reds supporters love the Uruguayan star.
It is a shame that it has not worked out for the striker at Anfield, but it seems best for everyone that they part ways at the end of the season.
