Liverpool look likely to see a number of important players leave the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Reds are all set to win the Premier League title if they can claim five victories from their final nine games, but could see a huge amount of change at the end of the campaign.
That will follow on from a big summer in 2024, when Jurgen Klopp left Anfield along with a plethora of Liverpool coaching staff.
Three players also departed the club, with two of those – Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara – announcing their retirement shortly after.
The third was back-up goalkeeper Adrian, who joined boyhood club Real Betis on a free transfer.
And after initially joining the Spanish club as a reserve, Adrian has surprisingly forced his way into the starting XI under Manuel Pellegrini.

Adrian was much-maligned throughout much of his career with Liverpool.
The Spaniard never really recovered from some high profile Champions League mistakes against Atletico Madrid in 2020.

Nevertheless, he also played a big part in the Premier League win of the same year and was a popular figure in the dressing room across five years with the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp hailed Adrian as ‘incredible‘ after his Super Cup-winning debut in 2019 and the 38-year-old contributed to a real period of success with Liverpool.

And despite his status as a back-up at Betis, Adrian has seemingly brought that winning mentality back with him to Andalusia.
After starting the season as Betis’ Europa Conference League keeper, Adrian has since been promoted.
The former Liverpool man is now Pellegrini’s starting La Liga goalkeeper and even helped Betis to a 2-1 derby win over Sevilla on Sunday night.
You have to hand it to Adrian.
His move back to Betis in the summer was of course an emotional one, but there looked little chance of him becoming the starting goalkeeper.

But after seeing Francisco Vieites ship five at Barcelona in January, Pellegrini decided to take action.
Adrian has been his starter ever since, and Betis have moved up to sixth in the table.
The goalie now has 16 appearances under his belt this term having managed just eight in his final four years at Liverpool.
So, although Liverpool reportedly wanted to keep Adrian around as third choice for another season, the veteran has more than justified heading back to his homeland.
Now a regular starter for a very decent La Liga side, perhaps it’s time to start asking whether Adrian was underrated at Anfield after all.
