Across the pond in New York there is a well-established community of Liverpool FC fans who come together every matchday to watch the game, regardless of the time difference.

The Official Liverpool Supporters' Club New York (OLSC NY) has links to various venues and acts as a link for people who want to come together to enjoy the game.

The supporters' club dates back to 1995 when Sean Woods created a fanzine for New York Liverpool supporters.

Long before affiliating with us, they had a running group of Liverpool supporters who gathered there.

"The Monro in Brooklyn was even able to support the creation of a new official supporters' club.

All of the bars are decorated with their own unique history but an LFC thread connects them all - whether they're owned by an OLSC NY member or simply broadcast the game for fans to enjoy.

Jordan Zakarin, OLSCNY's social media manager, joined the community after visiting over the years.

The fact that people from all walks of life make it out to pack the bar early Saturday and Sunday mornings and stand alongside people who are often complete strangers goes to show that the ethos of the club really resonates with us."

OLSC NY is keen to turn fans into supporters and does so by arranging guest appearances.

Everyone from Jan Molby to Roy Evans and John Barnes have stopped by to meet fans, share stories from their careers and simply have a good time.
