Relegation-threatened Southampton have been linked with their second managerial change of the season as they prepare to take on Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend.
The Reds host the team anchored to the bottom of the table on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off).
The Saints have just nine points from their 27 games so far this season and are 13 points adrift of safety, they need three more points to avoid matching Derby County’s record low 11 points in 2007/08.
Liverpool, meanwhile, sit 13 points clear of second placed Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.
They have, however, played one game more than their title rivals.
Southampton have already made a managerial change this season.
Russell Martin was sacked in mid-December after just one win and two draws in the league.

He was quickly replaced by former Torino and AS Roma manager Ivan Juric, but the appointment has not gone the way that the Saints hierarchy would have planned.
In his 10 league games as manager, Juric has won just one, with that victory coming against fellow strugglers Ipswich Town.
