Jamie Carragher tore into Ange Postecoglou after Tottenham's capitulation in the Carabao Cup semi-finals, warning that the Australian's approach is simply "not working".
Spurs headed into Thursday night's match against Liverpool with a one goal advantage from the first leg.
And the former even claimed that League Two strugglers Accrington Stanley put up more of a fight at Liverpool in the FA Cup than Spurs.
The Reds icon went on to reference Tottenham's poor form this season and took aim at Postecoglou, who has seen scrutiny on his own position grow with Spurs currently 14th in the Premier League table after winning just eight of their 24 games.
Carragher continued: “He’s a manager who is just trying to find something and what he’s trying is not working.
It’s an awful lot.
“We’re talking almost 50 per cent of the Premier League games he’s lost going back.
